The Pit – House of Barbecue excitingly announces its plans to open its first-ever franchise in the UAE at City Walk, Dubai, this November. Hailing from the Kingdom of Jordan, the brand is known for its uniquely fabricated smokers and remarkable high-quality smoked meats, prepared fresh and daily. Currently, outside of Jordan, The Pit has branches in Erbil, Iraq, and is looking to expand further across the GCC.
The Pit was founded by entrepreneur Ghaith Saadeldin, in 2018. Established in Amman, Jordan, the venue started as a 28 square meter, hole-in-the-wall restaurant serving up slow-cooked meats of Lamb and Beef, primarily to friends and neighbours. By 2019, its growing popularity propelled Saadeldin to set up in one of the city’s busiest districts, Abdoun Al Shmali, filled with tourists and locals alike – now considered the flagship restaurant in Amman, seating up to 60 guests.
The Dubai branch will be situated next to City Walk Boulevard Street and will hold a capacity of a whopping 120 guests. The restaurant will feature an indoor and outdoor seating area, a juice bar, and a sleek open kitchen with the brand’s custom-made smoker front and center.
The brand’s Pit Masters feel the recipes, they don’t just follow them and this is evident in the way each piece of meat is cooked. Low and slow is the game at The Pit, with true craftsmanship at the forefront of their smoking process. The Pit’s Pit Masters are real artisans, perfectly managing the fire and changing temperatures inside the smoker, and taking into account the different smoking processes per cut of meat. For example, diners can expect chicken items to be smoked for at least four hours, while full briskets can take up to 22 hours.
Those familiar with the brand along with meat enthusiasts alike will be delighted to see menu items such as Smoked Brisket Slices, Short Ribs, Burnt Ends, Lamb Shanks, Lamb Necks; as well as hearty sandwiches such as Triple B, Pit Roast, House Burger, and the Chicken Fiesta Sandwich.
