Dubai’s Opera was established in 2016 and is one of the most refined and radiant arts and cultural centers. Located in downtown Dubai, the Opera was built by Emaar properties and is a multi-format performing arts center with a capacity of about 2000 people. The place’s vibe is excellent and is something one must visit when in Dubai. It is a unique blend of culture and art and presents something that does not exist anywhere else. Shaped like a sailing vessel, it hosts various performances like ballets, orchestras, conferences, concerts, and theatre. It has also hosted fashion shows in the past.

The Dubai Opera is a place for performing arts; it unveils the rich culture of Dubai and hosts the most authentic and captivating experiences from Dubai and the world. The main intention of creating Dubai Opera was to host performances like ballet, concerts, theatres, Opera, etc. This building is designed to resemble a traditional sailing vessel to tribute to Dubai’s maritime history. Due to this reason, this is not just an attractive destination but also a cultural heart of Dubai that is committed to producing appealing performances for the people.

Dubai Opera

Atkins created this beautiful and exotic design, and their lead architect was Janus Rostock. The Opera has an extraordinary feature that converts the entire building into three different modes. These modes are theatre, concert hall and flat floor which can be used as banquet or event hall. Art galleries, fashion shows, weddings, and exhibitions are held on this flat floor. Similar to these modes, the concert also has a series of towers and reflectors on stage and above, which moves and creates a shell shape around the orchestra. It gives a perfect room for the sound systems.

Along with the things mentioned above, Dubai Opera also boasts world-class dining. The rooftop dining options and sky garden have a view of the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa. This view is just mind-blowing. The whole building is made accessible, considering the unique needs and reduced mobility, ensuring that everybody can experience the hospitality the Opera offers.

The last point to be noted is that the Opera is located in Downtown Dubai, the most prestigious square kilometer in the world.
